This is my first try at making a blog post. I am a total novice! I started the blog as a way to display some of the cards I have been working on. I retired in 2012, and have been doing some travelling, reading, and making cards and jewelry.  Everyone keeps asking me what I am doing so I thought the simple answer was to show them. Everything I do, I do for fun... Currently my focus is on making cards for the residents of the Belmont Long Term Care Facilities here in Belleville, ON. My Mother was a resident of the Belmont for almost 3 years, and while she passed away this past summer I thought making special cards for very special people was a wonderful way to play it forward. I have just completed 280 Valentine's Day and Easter cards.

I will start my blog with showing you some of my Valentine Card creations I made for the Belmont.

This card was created using MFT WBD Stylish Friends. I used Copic Markers to colour the young ladies.

This card was created through Circuit Craft Room using the Love Struck 2010 Cartridge

These two cards were created using Hero Arts Design Block  Country Hearts S5161 and Hampton Arts Owl and Heart Balloon Stamp. I also used MFT Die-namics Celebrate & By the Letter Uppercase and, Simon Says For You. I used Copic markers to colour the stamped owl/balloon

These three cards were stamped with Hero Arts Lil Hoot and animals were coloured with Copics

I created this series using various MFT Pure Innocence Stamps. I paper pieced the girl's outfits, and coloured the rest with Copics. The stamps used were Wish You Were Here, Prehistoric Girl, Love You With All My Heart, and Gymnast Girl.

This little dog stamp reminded me of my own little Fuji Dog . It is called Birthday 4 Cookie by Stephanie Barnard's Stamps of Life.

This is  great use of Scraps. I added a small heart stamp from Stampin' Up Wood stamp series called Quick and Cute

I made this card up in three colours using Copic Markers and Stampin' Up's "Loads of Love"

My final card was made using my Big Shot and the following  Memory Box dies  - Woodland Branch,  Precious Hearts & Small Nesting Birds. The love stamp was from Papertrey Ink  Think Big Favorites #23
